Pun'kins.

It being one of the nicer days in recent memory, and seeing as though there's rain on the horizon for the next little while, we figured it might be nice to get out and about. So, we headed out to the Toad Hill Pumpkin Patch on St. Peters Road to snap some photos.

It was a little cool, and Claire wasn't exactly keen on being plopped in the middle of a bunch of pumpkins and expected to smile, but she managed to squeeze a few out regardless.

Who you talking to?

In the past few weeks, Claire's taken to cooing and chatting quite a bit, especially in the evening. I always try to record it on my phone, but as soon as I pull it out of my pocket, she becomes more interested in the device than talking. Tonight, however, I managed to record some.

Family pictures.

A couple of weeks ago (on Rachel's birthday, to be exact), we decided it'd be nice to get a few family photos taken. We popped the camera on a tripod, set the autotimer, ran back and forth from behind the camera to in front of it, and got a few dozen shots.

Not quite the same as getting an other photographer to take some pictures of us, but then again, maybe that's what makes these special.

Apple picking season once again.

Last year we headed east to Cardigan for apples. This year, on account of the babe, we went to Beamish's in Warren Grove. I rode past this place the bus en route to Bluefield High for three years and never knew it existed. They have a small (but bountiful) orchard filled with organically grown apples.

Claire didn't quite know what to think of the whole excursion, but her parents had fun.
