As mentioned in the previous post, we spent much of last night preparing for Claire's small (but mighty) first birthday party, which we celebrated today with immediate family.

Much fun – and food – was had by all. We got to put our new BBQ to use (thanks to Phil, aka "Phil of the Grill"), and eating the Very Hungry Caterpillar cake was as enjoyable as it was to build.

The past year has flown by.

This evening, we went to dinner with Nanna and Grampy and Aunt Jessica, as a belated present for Dad. The camera performed less than stellar in the low light (especially when I largely refused to use the flash), but we managed to capture a few photos none the less.
