We know you've all been on the edge of your seats wondering what the Gilli (plural of "Gillis") have been up to. Well, fear not. Just because we haven't been posting anything doesn't mean we haven't been taking photos. A rundown:

1. Claire likes strawberries
She gets stripped down to her diaper to eat them.

2. We had visitors
My cousin Colin and his lovely girlfriend Alex came for a visit when they were spending some time on PEI. This is the formal portrait of the event.

3. We went out to Mom and Dad's cottage
And sat around and had some lunch and the like. 'Cause that's what you do when you go to a cottage. It was fun.

4. We went to a park with some friends
Claire spotted the swing, and there was no going back.

5. Rachel took a nice photo of Claire outside her play tent

6. We went to see some of Rachel's family
There was a bit of a shindig to see off her cousin who's off to Alberta to work.

That's it for now.

Still swinging.

Yesterday evening, we went to Tea Hill for a bit of a picnic. After meal time, we eyed the the playground — through the Liberal Party ice cream social that had unknowingly sprung up behind us — and wandered over to pop Claire in the swing set. Like the obsessive compulsive video producer/parent that I am, I promptly pulled out my phone and started recording my daughter's first time in a playground swing.

As I filmed, I had a bit of a flashback to a very similar scene in our apartment, almost exactly one-year prior. I remembered shooting this video of a six-week old Claire rocking back and forth in her baby swing for the first time.

A year later, she still enjoys it just the same.

Only now, I get to push her.

Some recent photos.

The last few weeks have been a little busy, although we have been making time to get out and about as a family and enjoy the summer. With that, as you can undoubtedly tell, comes us taking photos of Claire in cute situations.

First up, Canada Day. We took in some of the events at Victoria Park, along with an impromptu photoshoot by the provincial government buildings, and then out to our friend Sara's place for the annual Canada Day BBQ and Deck Sit.

A few days later, we found ourselves with a little bit of time, so we ventured out to the former Rainbow Valley park, where we walked along the trail to the beach, and then back for a bit of a picnic.

A few days after that again, Rachel and Claire ventured to Twin Shores Campground, to visit her cousins who were there camping for a few days. This involved a handful of photoshoots, as well as Claire sharing the stroller with Wyatt and a trip to the beach.
